We have explained model by model and what are the key features that help one to distinguish the original one from the aftermarket one.

iPhone 5 5s 5c and SE

When it comes to iPhone 5G, 5S, 5C and SE we should know that the original is not as thick as the generic one. On an original screen the digitizer of the touch screen is integrated in the display. When we look at the screen from a right angle the digitizer is visible on generic screens it depends on the manufacturer that if you will see closely there will be vertical and horizontal lines of the touch matrix or diamond shaped dots on the screen. Some of the digitizers also have a bluish shade which is not the keys in the original screens as original screens are usually black or grey.

The pattern of Contacts is different on the ribbon in the generic screens as compared to the original screens. The ribbon flex is of low quality in generic screens.

iPhone 6 and 6 plus

iPhone 6G and six plus is the easiest to determine no originality. The original LCDS of iPhone 6G and 6 plus have Apple logo on the ribbon flex. you will however have to look closely as the screen might be covered with a marker or substance due to postage safety. There are very rare cases of 6g and 6 plus having an LCD without an Apple logo. However, if you buy such a phone from a third-party cell phone repair shop you will be able to tell easily if the LCD is original or not.

iPhone 7 and 7 plus

In case of iPhone 7G and seven plus there is an Apple logo but it is under the part that is bent and covered with a sticker. That part is usually stock to the plate so the easiest way to tell if the screen is original or not is to look at the ribbon flag structure. The copy one will have a totally different layout than the original one and you can tell easily by seeing it vigilantly.

iPhone X XS and XS max

There are no color and structural differences in the original and aftermarket LCD of iPhone X, iPhone XS and XS Max. however when observed from the obverse side, the inside LCD of the OEM screen has a black tone while the aftermarket and city look a little green. In the case of an aftermarket screen, it will look a little red if it is aftermarket. In the aftermarket screen, the frame is usually thicker than the OEM screen and it does not show 4 connected contacts on the bottom of the frame. This can have an impact on the signal because the middle two contacts are responsible for connecting the charging port signal and retaining the bracket. The aftermarket LCD also looks a little different than the original one because it is thicker, and the appearance is a little bit changed.

Conclusion:

These are all the points that can help you distinguish between an original screen and an aftermarket screen. Make sure that if you go to buy a phone from a third party repair shop or even from an original manufacturer you see into the details yourself and try to find if there is a flaw. After all, you would not want to waste your hundreds of dollars for a fake device.
