Pathogenesis:
Acne is the condition which very person to person. Thus, it is the number one problem of skin. Now the main research topic is how this is cased and how to get rid of it. So let me tell you that the main reason is water, sebum is mixture of oil and water component. If a person with low water content definitely has the increased amount of oil in them.
So, when the hair follicle produces sebum (oil produced by oil gland present at the root of hair follicle which nourishes hair) in excess amount and this condition is known as Dys-seborrhea due to which the pore is clogged. This condition mostly take place in teen group people (during puberty). When the pore is clogged there is no other way for oil (sebum) to move out of the pore, so the area start to get swelled which cause pimple and when the pimple come in contact with bacteria, due to excess oil the bacteria grow and bacterial presence cause the release of inflammatory mediators and pus are formed. When pus is formed the pimple takes the shape of blister. This condition may be triggered by external as well as internal factors.
There are more causes of acne which are listed below:
- Hormonal imbalance
- PCOS (female)
- Stress
- Dehydration
- Poor sleep
- Anxiety
- No healthy food (excess fried food)
This condition causes dysbiosis which lead to the imbalance of skin barriers which stimulate the mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology’s of acne. Skin is made up of four types of tissue such as:
- Connective tissue
- Epithelial tissue
- Connective tissue
- Nervous tissue
and the changes in epithelial layer of skin causes such conditions. People with acne get confused when there is no proper guidance about its types which include
- Whiteheads
- Blackheads
Whiteheads can be identified with its appearance which is under the skin layer and it has the color of skin but blackheads slightly differ from whiteheads because they are found on the surface of skin and has the coloration of black due to the presence of oxygen.
Inflammatory pimples are also classified such as:
- Papules
- Pustules
- Nodules
- Cysts
Papules are described as the pimple formed when the hair follicle get inflamed. Pustules are identified with the presence of pus at their tip. Nodules are differentiated as the appearance of redness, tenderness, are painful and found under the skin. But cyst is totally different from all above and have larger lumps under the skin with the presence of pus in it.
People also need to know that is there is acne it no not means that it has to be on face, there are other areas of body where acne can occur such as:
- Face
- Back
- Chest
- Shoulder
People are not used to see their skin in such condition especially teenagers so they start to do experimentation on their skin which leads towards scaring. Scars are the technical part of the story which need to be explained in a proper manner.to avid scaring you should stop popping the pimples which may also cause tenderness and itching.
